Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid While Anker-owned Eufy has earned a name for itself in the field of low-cost robot vacuums, it's never offered an all-in-one model that can also mop. That's changed with the X8 Hybrid, which has an impressive set of modern features and is able to compete against more expensive models. The main selling point of Eufy's this machine is its laser navigation. The X8 uses a laser mapping system that is more precise than previous Eufy devices. The X8 is still a decent vacuum on bare floors, slinging debris under its side brushes and into the 400ml dust bin with ease. Its tyres are adept at securing corners and edges even though they are circular. It's not the best cat litter scooper, however as our tests show it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur from hard floors. The basic mopping mode uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. This is great for spills that are not too serious, but you cannot limit the amount of water it consumes. It's effective at picking up pet hair. It has a higher rate of pick-up than the Roborock S7. 3. Miele RX2 Awarded for its quiet and efficient home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum comes with outstanding cleaning power, beautiful design and excellent navigation. It has a few oddities in its operation, which prevent it from being named the top smart robot vacuum. The RX2 is equipped with a dual-sensor mapping technique that uses a LIDAR to map a room and a pair of 3D scanning cameras for detecting and eliminating obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). After the room has been identified it is possible to designate virtual no-go areas and preferred sections to the robot. You can also begin cleaning manually or change the cleaning mode, view live feeds from the cameras onboard and more on the main screen. The sensors of the RX2 work well in registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. The suction and sweeping capabilities are excellent, getting rid of surface litter from carpets of medium pile and also removing dust that has been deposited on floors. It's not the fastest robot available. Like many other robots, it's not a good climber and has trouble with things like thresholds made of metal transition strips. Some people buy a robot vacuum for the ease of setting a schedule in an app and not thinking about it for weeks at one time. Shark ION This budget robovac that looks like any other, but comes with a few more features and a better performance. The controls are more basic than the competitors. There is a cleaning button on the top and you can either start it using the app or by voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also schedule daily or weekly cleanings, create no-go zones and view the history of cleaning. Ion is clad in a stylish dark gray plastic that looks and feels attractive in your home. The rear dust bin is easy to access for emptying and removing the filter equally easy. 5. Eufy 11S If you're looking for a basic robotic vacuum that is simple and has no frills at a low price, the Eufy 11S is a great option. It lacks some of the smart features, such as digital mapping and Alexa integration, which are found in higher-end models however, if you don't require these functions, you can save a little money with this model. This robot is simple to set up and use. It doesn't require a smartphone app or Wi-Fi pairing, but it does come with the ability to control the remote with a remote that allows you to select between different modes and adjust the suction level. You can also set up a manual schedule to send the robotvac on an cleaning schedule. During our tests during our tests, the 11S was very effective at getting rid of pet hair and dirt on hard floors and in low-pile carpets. Its slim profile made it possible to fit under furniture with low hanging and other items that heavier robots were unable to get at. It was able to get effortlessly over door thresholds and switch from one type of floor to another. The 11S, as with other robots, will also eat some objects, such as cords and cat toys. The manufacturer suggests that you can prevent this from happening by keeping these items off the ground and using a cord organizer when you can. It also recommends that you periodically clean the dustbin, replace the filters and clean or change the brushes as needed. Roomba 990 from iRobot The Roomba is iRobot’s flagship robot vacuum. It's pricey, but it's also the best robot vacuum that you can purchase. Its self navigation and environmental mapping are something to behold. It also has more advanced automation features than its competitors, such as the ability to set virtual boundary markers with its mobile app. Although the application is a bit slow and the 980 can spin out a bit when rolling over cables, it's a highly efficient robot vacuum. We really like the 980 because it uses its iAdapt2.0 navigation sensors and visual simultaneity localisation and mapping (or vSLAM), to memorise your home's floor plan. It then uses that information to create a consistent and efficient cleaning path for every cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a better robot vacuum than many high-end robotics. Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes which grab dirt on floors and carpets, as well as the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum’s bin. Its floor tracking sensors help it navigate between furniture and around edges, and Cliff Detect prevents the Roomba from falling down the stairs. It will also return to the base station for simple recharges between sessions. The battery life and bin capacity of the 980 aren't as great as some other robot vacuums. However, it is a reliable and solid machine that will keep floors clean for many hours.
